The Master Plan: Building Houston Executive Airport

Houston Executive Airport is under construction on land north of Interstate 10, between Brookshire and Katy. Houston Executive Airport will have convenient access to Interstate 10, Highway 90, the Westpark Toll Road and a Union Pacific rail line, providing rapid ground access to the west Houston energy corridor and the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area.

Building an Airport from a Clean Slate

Construction on the Houston Executive Airport began on November 18, 2005. It is projected to take 400 days to complete infrastructure, including the runway, taxiways, ramp, lighting, fencing and drainage improvements. Thanks to better than expected winter weather and an aggressive approach towards construction, the project is currently well ahead of schedule.

The Phase I construction is located on 190.642 acres of the overall 1,980 acre site. The project engineer for Phase I is Garver Engineers. Tribble & Stephens is the Phase I general contractor and W.T. Byler is the primary site work subcontractor.

Construction on additional portions of the overall site will proceed in subsequent phases and as demand warrants. In the meantime, the balance of the site remains in agricultural use. Construction of initial hangar, FBO, office and fuel facilities is expected to commence by the third quarter of 2006.

WCF, LLC anticipates opening Houston Executive Airport to the public in the first quarter of 2007.
